Monitoring & Evaluation and Reporting for gender equality

Bringing gender into monitoring, evaluation and reporting will help strengthen gender equality results of UNDP programmes or projects.

To Make visible the role played by women and men
To identify the gender gaps and design remedial measures
To ensure the impacts positively contribute to gender equality
To capture gender–related transformative changes

Evaluation of documented women's and men's participation & experiences in UNDP programmes or projects as change agents and as beneficiaries will help assess the contribution of gender equality to the overall programme or project objectives.

By making sure gender equality progress and related results are explicitely included in planning and reporting documents and platforms, project or programme & donor reports and other evaluation and audit reports, findings and lessons learned will not be lost.
